I LOVE these jeans. Love that they are not skinny at then ankle but not wide. Love the color. They are a nice light blue. I am 5’4″, stocky, 149 lb and the 28×32 is tight on me but fits. I wanted them tight so they would STAY UP without a belt. The stretch is perfect. Even though I bought down a size they are comfy. NOTE-I bought them in black and dark blue too, but those would not button so fit differs between the different fabrics. I was bummed. I wanted them in black and they did not have 30’s.

I was a teenager in the 1980’s and to me this is how jeans look! The rise is high, and shirts can be tucked in to show off our waists/curve (as opposed to the straight-line figure a low rise creates). Nice. These jeans are stretchy enough to be comfortable and didn’t lose their shape all day. I commuted (drove) an hour each way, stood to teach a few classes, then sat cross-legged at my desk. And they didn’t stretch out. They are, though, thinner than true denim and stretchier. Sizing: I’m 5’2″, 100-105 pounds, normally wear a 0 or 25, and in these I bought the 26. They fit. There’s a bit of extra room at the back of my waist, but I prefer that to too tight. And they look tight, which is a lovely thing for a petite woman. They look absolutely perfect and flattering. Can’t wait for cropped shirts and sweaters to come back.

When the 512 jeans were discontinued, I decided to try the 314 per your recommendation. Wow, these are fantastic fitting! The fabrication of the worn blue is superb, much better than any of the 512’s. The hip and thigh fit is perfectly snug, preventing riding down. I do wish they were a bit higher in the rise, though. A lower rise gives the illusion of shorter legs. I dislike belts and removed the belt loops to eliminate waist bulk. I’m in my 60’s and these definitely are not “mom” jeans. I wear a 27, same as I did in the 512s. They are so figure flattering, I’ll be back for more!

Love the style and look of these jeans, but 2 negatives – as you wear them, they stretch out a LOT, and they are really pretty high waisted – not mid-rise. Wish I had not bought 2 pairs and washed them first, because I would have liked to exchange for a smaller size.

Overall nice quality jean with stretch. They are lightweight and perfect for Tucson’s year-round warm weather. They run on the small side. I usually wear a 29 waist and bought these in a 30. Holding them up to my 29s for comparison, they are the same. I love Levis.

To anyone ordering any of the Levi’s perfectly slimming 314 (previously the 512 series) don’t order from anyone but Zappo’s. They are the same fit as the old 512 series and fabric. I ordered several pair from Amazon(8)none of them fit,sizing way off and the little red Levi’s tag on the back pockets were only red tags..None said Levi’s and all the writing inside was Chinese. Couldn’t understand any of it!!

I ordered these instead of the 512’s that I can’t find anymore. Always get upset when I find a pair of jeans that fit well and I like, thn they discontinue them. I ordered these instead and was pleasantly surprised. I like them and the fit is great. I wear the same size I did in the 512’s. I highly recommend these in place of the 512′. You won’t be disappointed!

I can’t believe it, but these fit me like a GLOVE. I am 5’5″, ~140 lbs. and athletic. I bought the size 28 (I think that roughly translates into a size 6). The relaxed fit at the ankles is great and a nice contrast to how these fit the rest of my body.These jeans have Elastine in them to give them some stretch. As other reviewers have noted, they are longer than what is listed in the description, which I like. I am looking forward to a long relationship with these babies.

55 yr. old, 5’6″, 145 lbs. (curvy figure – smaller waist, fuller thighs) wear 30 reg. This style is for us curvy gals that are sick of the gap at the waist. It’s still a little snugger in the knee than I prefer, but it’s the best fitting jean in the Levi brand (replaces curvy straight – an oxymoron) pretty well. The length (reg. 32″) is fine up to 5’6″, but taller or longer legged gals might want to go with the ‘tall’. LOTS of spandex – very forgiving! Deep color seems to be holding well – but I wash them inside out. Unlike many pants/jeans with spandex, these hold their shape for many wearings.

Was so disappointed when the 512’s were discontinued. I reluctantly went ahead and purchased a pair of these. I’m in between a size 8 and 10. I’m 5’5″ and I ordered the 30 X 30’s. The fit is perfect, length is perfect and these have now become my everyday jean that I grab and go in. I like the weight of the fabric, it seems not too heavy or too light. Well stitched and finished. Can’t beat these for a great pair of fit and feel and price for everyday jeans.

I bought the 314 Levis and am not impressed. I wanted jeans that didn’t stretch, these did not fit the bill. They are very stretchy and high waisted. Looking for some “real” Levis like the quality jeans I used to buy in the ’80s…these just don’t measure up. They run big, I’m 5’4″ and 135#’s. Ordered a 28 waist and they’re bunchy and loose…if you’re a child of the ’80’s buy the 714 straight…

These jeans are my new favorites- not too low, great dark blue color. The denim is very soft, I have them in white, light and dark blue. I’m a size 10, only 5′ 2″ and the 30×30 fit me like a glove- immediately comfortable. I highly recommend these jeans.

I LOVE these jeans! They are comparable to the 512’s which I couldn’t find. They are not the heavy stiff jean fabric but look like jeans and are mostly cotton but have enough spandex to suck everything in nice and tight; love handles and lumps GONE. I usually wear a 6 and so I ordered a 28 but it was a little more snug than I wanted. I am ordering two more pair but 29 instead. I am 5’5 and ordered a 30 inseam which was perfect but now they are out. It is worth hemming because they are so good. But maybe after I wash them, they will be shorter. At a 30 inseam, they were still a couple inches from the floor

I had complained to Levi’s about the 512 being discontinued. They told me the 314 “was the same.” Not so. The waist is relatively wider in the same size and the rise is shorter, at least this is the case for me. I ordered the same size as my 512s (32×32), but they sit lower and slide down. Don’t think of these as 512 equivalents.

These jeans are fabulous and worth every penny! As a lady with an hourglass shape, these fit like they were made just for me and they hold me firm in all the right places. The fabric is a very nice blend of “give and hold” that so many jeans lack these days. I’m 5’4″ and 165 lbs and bought a size 12. I look slimmer in these than anything else I have in my closet right now. The mid-rise is perfect and the waist is totally comfortable with no gap.

I had worn Levi’s 512 Perfectly Slimming jeans for years, but since they have been discontinued, I contacted Levi’s to ask what my best alternative would be. The 314 Slimming jeans was recommended as supposedly similar, and in fact, I was told that I would like these better. Unfortunately, this style is nothing close to the old 512 style, and is unwearable. This style is very large through the waist and hip, so they keep sliding down and I am constantly pulling them up. While both styles are made with stretch fabric, this pair screams it out so much that the material looks nothing like denim. They went in the trash. Now I am going to have to hunt through various retail stores to try on many different brand name jeans to hopefully find something I can wear. That is definitely not my favorite task.

I like these a lot, and want to love them, but the rise is a bit lower in the back than in the front, so I feel like I have to wear a belt or else hike them up frequently. However, the style is cute and the stretch is very comfy.

I purchased the olive colored levi’s on a whim; I figured for the sale price they probably would be sub-par or wouldn’t fit. Well, these fit me as though they were made for me and I am more that pleased. They launder without fading and they fit properly from my waist through my hips and backside and the length is spot on and I can wear them without stretching out or getting baggy in my knees after a long days wear. My winter capsule wardrobe is now complete.

The size was a little off. 27 was too big….26 was a little small I should have kept the 26 in hopes they might stretch.
